The bed was super comfy, but the decor was stuck in the 70s.

I really enjoyed my stay here, especially with the super comfy bed and the hot shower that felt amazing after a day of exploring. There's also a lovely garden area to relax and a charming little café down the street for a snack. The only downside was the slightly outdated decor, but it didn’t ruin my overall experience. 😊

historic charm, centrally located, access to public transport
The décor feels outdated and the bathrooms badly need an upgrade!!! Maintenance issues persist, including poor light in some rooms and inadequate soundproofing from the busy streets outside!!! Temperature control is far from optimal.

Couple's retreat, a nice stay
We checked in early and the host was super accommodating, giving us a beautiful corner room with a fine fountain view. It was a lovely touch when they provided us with free transport passes which made moving around the city a breeze!
It wasn't exactly budget-friendly, but it was still acceptable.

Our family enjoyed a lovely visit, exploring nearby attractions without hassle. With two couples in tow, we found the location super convenient, and the complimentary travel cards were a nice bonus. It was easy to get around and see what Basel had to offer.
In my wife’s opinion, the hotel could improve on noise insulation.

Had a great time with friends! The beds were super comfy, and the tea/coffee facilities really made mornings easier. We loved the nearby bakery for breakfast and explored the university and local attractions. The location was perfect for walking around. Definitely recommend if you're looking for convenience and comfort!
We had a little trouble during check-in when there was another guest in our assigned room, which was awkward. This did take a bit to sort out.

The hotel is conveniently located near the university and major tourist attractions, making it easy to explore the area. The generous room size is complemented by comfortable beds and decent amenities like a mini fridge and tea-making facilities. However, the decor is quite dated, and the public spaces have an unusual smell from the Indian restaurant on-site. Maintenance issues were noticeable, particularly with the unreliable fan and worn carpets.

Great location but needs a serious upgrade
The hotel is in a prime spot, just a short walk from the university and easy access to public transport, which is a huge plus. The room was spacious, and it had a mini fridge and tea/coffee facilities, perfect for our needs. However, the decor feels stuck in the past, and some aspects like the bathrooms definitely need attention, with issues like mold and outdated fittings being quite off-putting.
